EFNYO 25 Years | General Assembly & Annual Conference, Bucharest, May 9th - 12th, 2019

EFNYO's General Assembly & Annual Conference took place in Bucharest/Romania between May 9th - 12th, 2019. The four-day event was kindly hosted by our Romanian partner, the Orchestra Română de Tineret, and was held at their residence, the Centrul National de Arta Tinerimea Română.

Panel discussions highlighted EFNYO's collaboration with professional orchestras and orchestras' associations, in particular regarding training models such as orchestra academies and internships. We were pleased to welcome guest speakers from the Association Française des Orchestres (AFO), the Asociación Española de Orquestas Sinfónicas (AEOS), and the Orchestre de Paris. Another round table was dedicated to new projects initiated by EFNYO members, and was illustrated by short presentations & video clips. Delegates also welcomed new youth orchestra initiatives, and discussed the extension of the EFNYO network according to our international strategy.

With a full agenda of four days,  we celebrated "25 Years EFNYO" by looking back to the achievements of the past, and by looking forward to ways of shaping the network for the next decades to come!
