Working Group Meeting for EFNYO Managers & Bootcamp for Musicians, September 24 - 27, 2015, Glasgow
The new training format for managers and musicians (Working Group Meeting/Bootcamp) was launched in 2015 under the current MusXchange programme. The MusXchange working group meeting and musicians' bootcamp on "Audience building and outreach skills" took place between Sept. 24th - 27th, 2015, in Glasgow, Scotland. The host of the meeting was our Scottish member orchestra, the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, and its chief executive Joan Gibson. The workshops were held in cooperation with Live Music Now, Scotland, and its director Carol Main (“Inspiring musicians – Transforming lives”).
The main focus of the managers' training sessions was laid on audience research, as well as on the diversification of public and private funding for EFNYO and its project partners. Trainers were fundraising consultants in the fields of trusts/ foundations/ private and individual giving, and sponsorship (Arts & Business Scotland, www.aandbscotland.org.uk). The training session on audience research and development was held by a consultant of Culture Republic, a service-based institution supporting cultural organisations in Scotland (www.culturerepublic.co.uk)
