EFNYO General Assembly & Annual Conference in Berlin, 2024
Our annual General Assembly took place in Berlin, Germany, from June 6th to June 9th, 2024. This event in the beautiful city of Berlin, a historical and cultural hub, provided a platform for meaningful discussions, valuable insights, and strengthened bonds within our network.
Our venues included the “Kommissariat der Deutschen Bischöfe / Katholisches Büro” and the “Deutscher Bundestag,” reflecting our commitment to high-level dialogue and collaboration.
Highlights of the Conference:
- Friday, June 7th: A meeting at Deutscher Bundestag, invited by Ms. Katrin Budde, chairperson of the "Committee of Culture and Media," to discuss the fascinating landscape of national and international youth orchestras. The afternoon continued with the EFNYO General Assembly at the Kommissariat der Deutschen Bischöfe / Katholisches Büro.
- Saturday, June 8th: Sessions at the Kommissariat der Deutschen Bischöfe / Katholisches Büro, featuring a speech and discussion with Ms. Dorothee Kalbhenn, Programme Director of the Konzerthaus Berlin. In the evening we had the chance to visit the concert ”Intonations-Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival” at Kühlhaus Berlin
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our hosts, Dr. Gabriele Minz and the team of “Young Euro Classic,” who made this gathering possible and invited us to join the celebrations for "25 Years of Young Euro Classic" this summer. As longstanding cooperation partners, we appreciated the active engagement and lively exchanges among delegates.
This conference was an opportunity to innovate, collaborate, and inspire one another as we shape the future of youth orchestras across Europe and beyond.
